To ensure the safety and security of the users and the visitors, the Sealine Area's quad bike use prohibition has been extended, according to the local Arabic daily Arrayah.

The ban was previously put into effect for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to improve visitor safety and give tourists a special opportunity to experience the local wild environment.

The newspaper noted that the rental shops' operating hours have also been fixed to 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The restriction, according to quad bike enthusiast Mohamed Abdulwahab, is a wonderful idea, but it should only apply to riders under the age of 21. He urged that more safety laws and standards be put in place, such as making helmet use a requirement and requiring rental companies to give riders a guide.

Mohamed al-Qahtan, quadbike rental shop owner, said that the ban on renting out quad bikes after sun set causes big loss of business. "The powerful quad bikes are not suitable to drive within the limits of fenced areas, as they become unsafe there," he said.

Another enthusiast of quad bikes, Mohamed Ibrahim, claimed that older people should not use the walled areas because many of them are capable of driving through the sand dunes with ease. He added that younger people should only use them.
