In response to an urgent plea from a concerned citizen, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has taken swift action to address a dangerous sinkhole in the Sealine region. The immediate closure of the surrounding area aims to prioritize the safety of both visitors and vehicles navigating the region, mitigating potential hazards.

Under the guidance of the Ministry's Natural Reserves Management, the Sealine Unit promptly implemented measures to seal off the sinkhole and secure the vicinity. This proactive intervention was prompted by a circulating video shared on social media and reported by Arabic daily Al Sharq. The footage depicted a sizable cavity in the desert covered by a plastic sheet, posing significant risks to pedestrians and passing vehicles.

This decisive action underscores the Ministry's unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of Sealine visitors and underscores the importance of community engagement in identifying and addressing safety hazards promptly.
