Qatar's MOT Launches 11 New Maritime Transportation e-Services

The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has completed the automation of 11 additional maritime transportation services, making them fully electronic and accessible through the ministry's official website.

New Services Cover Vessels and Seafarers' Affairs

The newly digitized services relate to transactions involving large vessels and seafarers' affairs. With their addition, the total number of e-services available on the MOT's website has risen to 21, as the ministry continues efforts to streamline transactions, reduce time and effort, and enhance the overall user experience.

Full List of New E-Services

The 11 new e-services include: Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR), Certificate of Specification Amendment, Ship Deletion, Transfer of Ownership, Certificate of Non-Encumbrance, Lost Replacement, Mortgage Request, Mortgage Release, Safety Insurance for Oil Pollution Damage Request, To Whom It May Concern Certificate, and Sea Protest Service.

Part of Broader Digital Transformation Strategy

Mohamed Mohsen Al Hajaji, Acting Director of MOT's Ship Registry and Seafarers Affairs Department, said the launch of these e-services aligns with the ministry's strategy to advance digital transformation and service automation across its various sectors, while adopting the latest digital solutions and technologies. He added that the initiative supports the development of a more efficient and innovative maritime transportation industry, in line with Qatar's aspirations for an integrated, high-performing government service ecosystem under the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Wide Range of Services Available Online

The MOT's official website offers a broad range of land and maritime transportation e-services, allowing users to access and apply for them anytime and from anywhere, saving both time and effort.
