Qatar's tourism and hospitality sector is gaining global attention, establishing itself as a destination for luxury travel, cultural experiences, and international events.

Forbes magazine highlighted Qatar's ability to turn its vision, especially outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030, into reality.

The report underscores Qatar's commitment to sustainability across various sectors, including food security, aviation, ports, and tourism. Notably, the FIFA World Cup 2022's success, drawing 3.4 million visitors and generating additional revenue, showcased Qatar's excellence in organization, world-class infrastructure, and facilities, further elevating its global standing.

Tourism and hospitality, fueled by the FIFA World Cup, are experiencing significant growth in Qatar.

According to Statista, the country's revenue from travel and tourism is anticipated to achieve a compound annual growth rate of 11.13 percent from 2023 to 2027.

Hamad International Airport (HIA) has played a crucial role in supporting this expansion, transforming Qatar into a global transport hub with Qatar Airways gaining popularity among travelers. Hamad Port, one of the largest in the Middle East, operates with an annual capacity of 7.5 million twenty-feet equivalent units, contributing to Qatar's economic diversification. Managed by Mwani Qatar, Hamad Port handles general cargo as well as specialized imports such as livestock, automobiles, and bulk grain. Additionally, the port is slated to host a base for offshore activities.

Qatar's flourishing agriculture and farming initiatives further underscore the country's visionary goals, aiming for significant self-sufficiency targets in various sectors.
