Doha: Qatar’s Minister of Transport, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani, held talks with International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) Secretary-General Thomas Kazakos on Tuesday, August 11, as the two sides explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the maritime sector.

The meeting was held via video conference and focused on areas of cooperation between Qatar and the International Chamber of Shipping, particularly in shipping and maritime navigation safety.

The discussions also reviewed ways to further enhance cooperation in these areas, reflecting the importance of safe and efficient maritime transport and continued engagement with international shipping organisations.

Focus on shipping and maritime safety
