DOHA, 7 MAY, 2026 (WAM) -- Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, met with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Dr Badr Abdelatty, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration & Egyptian Expatriates for the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Two telephone conversations received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman in which they discussed relations of cooperation with their countries and ways to support and strengthen them, according to the Qatari News Agency.
It further noted that the discussions covered a number of regional developments, especially those pertaining to the ceasefire between the states and Iran, and efforts to de-escalate in a way that supports peace and stability in public.
The Qatari official also highlighted the need for all parties to respond constructively and in a manner that opens the way to solving this crisis by peaceful means and dialogue, thereby leading to an agreement that contributes to preventing its return to escalation through a robust commitment.
