Manama: Bahrainâs Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held talks with Yemenâs Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah Al Zouba, with discussions focusing on bilateral cooperation and the latest regional developments.
The two ministers reviewed relations between Bahrain and Yemen and discussed ways to strengthen coordination between their foreign ministries and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The talks also addressed opportunities to enhance economic, trade and development cooperation, as well as collaboration in capacity building and diplomatic training. Yemen expressed interest in benefiting from Bahrainâs experience in areas such as digital transformation and institutional development.
Both sides also discussed matters concerning the Yemeni community in Bahrain, including entry and residency procedures and the possibility of resuming Yemen Airways flights to the Kingdom.
The Yemeni foreign minister expressed appreciation for Bahrainâs support for Yemenâs Presidential Leadership Council, government and state institutions, as well as Bahrainâs positions supporting Yemen in regional and international forums.
The discussions came amid continuing diplomatic efforts across the Gulf to address regional tensions, strengthen security and stability and safeguard international navigation in strategic waterways.
The meeting reflects the two countriesâ commitment to maintaining close diplomatic coordination and further developing bilateral relations in areas that serve their common interests.
