Qatar Post Launches Stamp on 40th Anniversary of GCC
Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) issued a special postage stamp on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The stamp displays the picture of the founding leaders and the flags of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) Faleh bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi said that the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf embodies the meaning of fraternity, historical unity and common destiny that connects the people of the region, adding that this stamp commemorates the 40th anniversary of the founding of this Council, which reflected the vision and aspiration of the founding leaders for a better future for the Gulf states.
Issuing the stamp stems from the role of the State of Qatar in embodying the historical, social and cultural reality of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and reflecting solidarity and Gulf unity.
The stamps will be sold to the public for QR 5, as the printed quantity of this issue reached 10,000 copies, in addition to 6000 cards, 1500 envelopes and 500 folders.
