Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Dominik Mutter, Political Director at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, to discuss ways of advancing cooperation between the two countries and addressing pressing regional developments.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviewed the state of bilateral relations and explored opportunities to further strengthen collaboration across political, economic, and security fields. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to building on the strong foundation of QatarāGermany ties, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and partnership in addressing shared challenges.
Regional issues featured prominently in the discussions, particularly the diplomatic efforts aimed at consolidating the ceasefire in Lebanon. Dr. Al Ansari stressed that Qatar continues to support initiatives that preserve Lebanonās unity, sovereignty, and stability, noting that the ceasefire represents a crucial step toward easing tensions and fostering longāterm peace.
The talks also touched on broader regional diplomacy, including ongoing efforts linked to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran. Officials highlighted the importance of building on this framework to strengthen regional security and stability, while ensuring that dialogue remains the primary tool for resolving disputes.
The meeting underscored Qatarās role as a proactive mediator in regional affairs, balancing its bilateral partnerships with its wider diplomatic responsibilities.
