Qatar Central Bank
The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has officially announced that Wednesday and Thursday, January 1 and 2, 2025, will be designated holidays for all financial institutions operating in the country. This decision aligns with Council of Ministers Resolution No. (6) of 2008, which governs the declaration of official holidays in Qatar.
The holiday has been declared to facilitate the year-end financial closing, a routine yet critical activity for institutions to ensure seamless operations for the upcoming fiscal year.
All financial institutions, including banks and exchange houses, are set to resume their services on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
The Qatar Central Bank encourages residents to plan their financial activities accordingly and utilize online banking services where necessary during this period.
Customers can refer to their respective banks’ official communication channels for further updates and inquiries.
Stay informed and manage your transactions in advance to avoid inconvenience during the holiday period.
