QMD warns of thundery rain and strong winds

According to the latest report by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD), the weather inshore until 6 in the evening on Sunday is expected to be hot during the day and partly cloudy to cloudy with chance of light rain which can be thundery at times and has warned of thundery rain associated with sudden strong wind.

The weather offshore is likely to be partly cloudy to cloudy with chance of light rain scattered across the region and has probability of thundery at places, given the warning of strong wind and high sea, thundery rain at places.

The weather report has also added that wind inshore will be southeasterly to northeasterly 07 to 17 knot reaches 30 knot with thundery rain.

The win offfshore will likely be southeasterly to northeasterly 13 to 23 /30 knot with thundery rain.

The detailed forecast reports that visibility will be 4 to 9/3 kilometers or less with thundery rain. Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, rises to 4 feet at times, while offshore it will be 3 to 7 feet, rises to 10 feet with thundery rain.
