Hajj 2027 Qatar

Qatar’s Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced that medical fitness certificates are now available for people planning to perform Hajj in 2027.
The announcement was made on August 17, 2026, allowing eligible Qatari citizens and residents to complete the required medical fitness process ahead of the pilgrimage.

Medical Fitness Certificate Available Free of Charge

The medical fitness certificate service is available at all PHCC health centres.

Eligible applicants will receive both a printed copy and an electronic copy of their certificate.

The service is provided free of charge to Qatari citizens and residents. However, residents with an expired health card will be required to pay a QR 30 fee.

Where Can Applicants Get the Certificate?

Applicants can visit their registered PHCC health centre and access the service through the family medicine clinics.

No prior appointment is required, and the service is available throughout the week.

Applicants are advised to visit their registered health centre to complete the required medical assessment and certification process.

Requirements for Qatari Citizens

Qatari citizens applying for Hajj medical fitness certification must meet several conditions.

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Be free from diseases specified by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

  • Hold a valid Qatari ID

  • Submit an application that can include up to three accompanying persons, in addition to the main applicant

  • Non-Qatari first-degree relatives, including a husband, wife, mother, father or children, may also be added as accompanying persons.

  • If the main applicant withdraws from the application, the entire application will be cancelled.

Requirements for Non-Qatari Residents

Non-Qatari residents must meet additional eligibility conditions to apply.

They must:

  • Be 45 years of age or older

  • Have been a resident of Qatar for at least 15 years

  • Hold a valid Qatari ID and health card

  • Be free from diseases specified by Saudi Arabia

  • Not have performed Hajj previously

  • Include a maximum of one accompanying person in addition to the main applicant

  • As with Qatari applicants, withdrawing the primary applicant will result in the cancellation of the entire application.

Hajj Applicants Encouraged to Prepare Early

The opening of medical fitness certification gives prospective pilgrims an opportunity to complete the health-related requirements well ahead of the 2027 Hajj season.

Applicants should ensure that their identification and health-card documents are valid before visiting their registered PHCC health centre.
