Not Better Than Thanos Fans Disagree As Thor 4's Christian Bale Called Best MCU Villain

The fourth instalment in the Thor franchise titled Thor: Love & Thunder will see Chris Hemsworth’s Thor returning after the events of Avengers: Endgame. 

The movie will also feature Guardians of the Galaxy & Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor. 

However, the highlight of the film is going to be the presence of Christian Bale who will be seen playing the supervillain Gorr the God Butcher. 

And according to director Taika Waititi, Bale’s God Butcher is going to be the best MCU villain, once the movie releases in July.  

While talking about the film, Taika told AP News, “Thor is just trying to figure out his purpose, trying to figure out exactly who he is and why he’s a hero or whether he should be a hero. I guess you could call it a midlife crisis.”

He added, “It’s a great, really fun, weird little group of heroes, a new team for Thor with Korg, Valkyrie, and The Mighty Thor. And, in my humble opinion, we have probably the best villain that Marvel’s ever had in Christian Bale.”  

Taika Waititi has made a tall claim considering MCU consists of some of the most iconic supervillains like Thanos, Loki, Kingpin, Hela & Green Goblin. 

And it seems like fans disagree with Waititi’s claim as according to them, there is no villain in MCU who can top Josh Brolin’s Thanos.  

Reacting to the statement, one fan wrote, “On a real note, do we ever think there will be a movie villain better than Thanos? Cos I don’t think there ever will be!”  

Another replied, “No one can be better than thanos”  

One comment read, “That is a big statement… I mean big cuz right now there has been no marvel villain on screen better than Josh Brolin with Thanos, and yes I’m including all of the marvel movies outside of the MCU”.  

The movie will release on July 8, 2022.
