QOC Beach Games 2022
Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) held a press conference to announce all the preparations that are being made for the second edition of the 2022 Beach Games, which will be held from 19th to 25th March at Cultural Village Katara.
In the press conference, which was attended by members of the organising committee and media representatives, Mr. Rashid Adiba said: " By hosting this community event, the QOC aims at taking the sport community to new grounds and building up standards of physical and social health for local society individualsâ.
In his speech, Mr. Adiba said that QOC has set up a link on its official website and social media accounts asking beach game enthusiasts and amateurs to register their names and details so they can receive confirmation for participation in the games.
He also highlighted that a total of approximately 560 to 600 competitors (both men and women) will compete in five beach sports (football, volleyball, 3x3 basketball, swimming marathon, and karate).Â
The Head of the Technical Committee, Mr. Mana Ahmed Al-jel, said: â We are truly grateful to play a vital role and making this community event successful and more effectiveâ.
âWe will spare no effort to provide all logistic and administrative services that will  help the tournament reaching its objectives and benefiting the entire sport sector, on this occasion we give letter of thanks to all sponsors and sport federations for their effective contributions and servicesâ  Al-jel added.
After hosting the 2019 ANOC Beach Games in Doha, the QOC Beach Games will serve as a platform for promoting these kinds of games inside the Qatari society, in order to continue maintaining Qatarâs success as a leader in hosting such tournaments..
The QOC organizes the tournament every year as one of its community programs to promote health and fitness among all individuals in the community.
The Qatar Olympic Games will be held alongside a number of education and cultural programs that promote sustainability throughout the community (Water is Life) and call upon every Qatari to protect the environment and the tourist beaches.
Several local organizations are currently supporting the second edition of the 2022 QOC Beach Games, including Cultural Village Katara (official sponsor), Kobeqo (official logistic sponsor) , A & H (official supplier) and Eland Print (official sponsor).
