Israel Conducts Blow-Up Operations, Shelling Across Southern Lebanon

Beirut, September 19, 2026 : Israeli occupation forces carried out two blow-up operations Saturday in the towns of Markaba and Talusa, followed by a violent, multi-stage blast in the town of Mansouri, as well as a massive blast in the town of Mais Al-Jabal, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.

Artillery Shelling Reported Across Multiple Towns

The agency added that Israeli artillery shelling targeted Wadi Zibqin, the outskirts of Yater, and the town of Eastern Zawtar, while occupation soldiers set additional homes ablaze in Mansouri, alongside a massive blow-up operation in the town of Khiam.

Attacks Follow Hospital Fire in Mais Al-Jabal

The offensives came a day after Mais Al-Jabal Governmental Hospital was set ablaze.

Ceasefire Agreement Implementation Faces Setbacks

On June 26, Lebanon and Israel signed a US-brokered framework accord outlining security arrangements intended to facilitate the phased deployment of the Lebanese military and the withdrawal of Israeli forces. The accord also included measures related to reconstruction and economic recovery; however, its implementation has faced significant obstacles.
