HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met today with HE President of friendly Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the margin of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The meeting focused on the two countries relations and ways to promote and develop them in different spheres. The two sides also exchanged viewpoints on matters of mutual interest, especially the developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani; HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad Sherida Al Kaabi; and HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi attended the meeting.
On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by HE Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov; HE Russian Presidential Foreign Policy Advisor Yuri Ushakov along with a number of senior officials.
