Extended break for public schools, educational institutions from 8 April 2026 until end of the week

In the interest of the current conditions of the regional scene, and in coordination with the relevant authorities in the State, and Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahid Al-Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education announces from ensuring public safety an extended weekend holiday for all government schools, educational institutions, and nurseries until the end of this week starting from today 8 April 2026. As a precautionary measure, this holiday will be effective on the 22nd and 23rd of April, with the aim of preserving the safety of students and their educational community members.

The Ministry thanks parents and students for cooperation, it also praises the work and efforts of administrative and academic staff in achieving their educational mission. It reiterates its commitment to following developments in coordination with the relevant authorities as well as to informing all segments of the educational community when new information becomes available through official channels.
