Education Above All
The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation has organized the event: "Walk for Education: Social Responsibility and Sustainability Exhibition", with the participation of thousands of families and children in the park of the Museum of Islamic Art, under the slogan "Contribute to Children's Education".
This community event, organized by the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation on Friday in celebration of the "International Day of Education", approved by the United Nations, highlights the importance of education as a basic right for children and its role in building a sustainable future.
All proceeds from the event will be allocated to support the Peace Schools, launched by the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation within the "Together" project, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and with the support of local donors.
This initiative aims to change the lives of children and youth in Qatar by providing free education, enabling them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
In this context, Taj Suleiman, Director of Communications and Private Sector Partnerships at Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, said: "Education is the cornerstone of progress and equality, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that every child has this right.
The participation of thousands today was not just a symbolic step, but a powerful message that embodies our collective commitment to support education for all, and reflects the spirit of the International Day of Education as an urgent call to action to ensure the right of every child to learn and achieve their potential.
The event was characterized by a lively atmosphere that included various activities targeting all ages, from football tournaments that brought together school students, to art competitions, Arabic calligraphy workshops, bouncy castles, and live theater performances.
The event also witnessed the launch of the "Buy a Stone and Build a School" campaign, which provided participants with the opportunity to directly contribute to building Al Salam schools through donations.
The event included food and beverage stalls and entertainment shows, providing participants with a comprehensive and enjoyable experience.
Education Above All (EAA) Foundation expressed its gratitude to the sponsors and partners who contributed to the success of the event, including Qatar National Bank (QNB), Carrefour, Marriott International Entrepreneurship Council, Al Abdulghani Motors, in addition to a number of local and international companies.
Heba Ali Al Tamimi, Senior Executive Vice President of Communications at QNB Group, said: "We are proud to support initiatives that enhance communities and empower future generations through education. This event reflects the power of teamwork, and emphasizes our efforts to support initiatives that focus on health and education, which are two of the main pillars of our social responsibility."
