Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets in one over to help DC win
Kuldeep Yadav bowled brilliantly as Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 44 runs at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Earlier, Chasing 216 for a win, KKR started in a nervous fashion and soon lost openers Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane for 18 and 8 runs respectively. However, Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana batted beautifully to help KKR get back in the game. Rana departed for 30 runs while Shreyas was dismissed after scoring a fifty. Batting first, fifties from Prithvi Shaw and David Warner helped Delhi Capitals post 215/5. DC got off to a brilliant start as Shaw and Warner added 93 runs for the first wicket. Shaw departed for 51 runs while Warner was dismissed for 61 as KKR pegged DC back in the middle overs. However, Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel have finished the innings in style and took the score past the 200-run mark. Sunil Narine ended with two wickets while Pat Cummins, Umesh Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy were taken to the cleaners in their 4 overs.Â
