In that context, H.E. Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim has recently issued a ministerial decision establishing the Qatari Hajj Mission for the 1447 AH (2026 CE) Hajj season, and defining every support unit operating under its umbrella to continue implementing the State of Qatar's approach in this regard with the aim at contributing to enrich pilgrims experience and enabling them performing their rituals safely, calmly, comfortably and happily.

Under the decision, H.E. Qatar Hajj Mission will be headed by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, while Director of the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department Ali bin Sultan Al Musaifri has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Mission. Also integrated into the mission structure have been a host of representatives from various ministries and national institutions such as the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Health, and the National Center for Endowment (Awqaf) in addition to the "Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs" to ensure integration on an institutional level whilst achieving optimal coordination among all bodies concerned with serving Qatari pilgrims who will flock to Makkah.

The ministerial decision also makes provision for an advisory body, along with a slew of specialized administrative and technical units that will work under the umbrella of an overall organizational structure that is to operate at the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

A media delegation includes representatives from a number of national media institutions headed by Qatar News Agency (QNA) as well as Qatar TV, Al Rayyan TV and Qatar Radio. The delegation will also cover the mission's activities, document the journey of Qatari pilgrims around the holy sites and shed light on Qatar's efforts to ensure that its pilgrims are well cared for, safe and happy throughout their stay during Hajj season.

Various specialized teams have started setting up and completing pilgrims' camps in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, as well as finishing other details related to health care and medical services.

Coordination efforts are also under way with Saudi security authorities and airport officials to ensure the reception, transportation and movement of Qatari pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The capacity of the pilgrim accommodations in all licensed Qatari Hajj campaigns is being inspected tirelessly, according to the Inspectorate General Representative Lieutenant Colonel Humaid Moza Al-Hbani — field teams from support units are also out there assessing readiness against approved organizational and service standards, with an emphasis on offering pilgrims the environment they need to perform their rituals safely and comfortably.

In this regard, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs stressed that continuous coordination and close cooperation with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remain a basic pillar for the success of the Qatari Hajj Mission. The Ministry also praised the Kingdom's unprecedented and appreciated endeavors to serve pilgrims at all levels and its relentless efforts in developing the Hajj system and ushering in better procedures and improved services for pilgrims every year from around the world.

The Ministry also highlighted that the organizational and operational plans of Saudi have facilitated the work by official missions and Hajj campaigns, establishing an integrated operational environment positively impacting services and operations quality offered to pilgrims. These endeavours will allow the pilgrims to perform their rituals more smoothly and assuredly in a streamlined, controlled, and spiritually uplifting environment.

The Ministry confirmed that efforts exerted by other support units of the Qatari Hajj Mission is carried out with full coordination and are fully institutionalized which embodies the firm direction from wise leadership, in providing a distinctive Hajj experience, safe for pilgrims compared to previous years while meeting pilgrims aspirations aiming ensuring the comfortable and smooth completion of pilgrimage rituals.

The Ministry renewed, in this regard, the assurance that the performance of accredited Qatari Hajj campaigns will remain under continuous surveillance by the Qatari Hajj Mission, as determined by its ongoing efforts to enforce full compliance with approved regulations and standards. This will in return be expected to improve the standards of services being provided to pilgrims and consolidate Qatar's position as a leader in managing affairs of pilgrims with utmost efficiency, organisation, coordination and integration in providing services.
