Awqaf Ministry introduced the publication "The Comprehensive Encyclopedia for the Advancement of Islamic Education"

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has introduced the publication "The Comprehensive Encyclopedia for the Advancement of Islamic Education," authored by Dr. Hussein Ahmed Qasim.

Funded by the Endowment Fund for Scientific and Cultural Development within the General Directorate of Endowments, the encyclopedia spans five volumes, encompassing various aspects of Islamic education.

The initial volume addresses the current state and anticipated advancements in Islamic education within schools. Subsequent volumes delve into topics such as educational supervision, curriculum development, teacher guidance, and strategies for enhancing the Islamic education subject.

During the launch event, Hassan Muhammad Al Asfar, Head of the Publications Department at the Department of Islamic Affairs, highlighted the ministry's commitment to printing books that prioritize reviving Islamic heritage and cover diverse branches of Sharia sciences.

Dr. Hussein Ahmed Qasim, the author, emphasized that the encyclopedia represents a comprehensive effort to develop Islamic education within schools while maintaining authenticity and relevance to contemporary contexts. He outlined the project's six-year duration and its alignment with Quranic and Sunnah principles.

The encyclopedia aims to serve as a rigorously reviewed academic resource for students, educators, and all those involved in Islamic education. Its objectives include fostering intellectual security, nurturing good citizenship based on Quranic and Sunnah teachings, promoting moderation, and providing young women with resilience against misleading ideologies.

Dr. Qasim highlighted the diverse audience targeted by the encyclopedia, including teachers, supervisors, mosque leaders, Quran educators, students of Islamic studies, education planners, and curriculum developers.
