The eighth edition of the Katara European Jazz Festival kicks off Thursday at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in cooperation with the embassies of 11 European countries in the country.
The three-day festival will provide an opportunity for music lovers to enjoy live performances on the waterfront in Katara, amidst a vibrant cultural atmosphere, based on the Cultural Village Foundations emphasis on its role in enhancing cultural communication and highlighting Qatar's position as a global destination for arts and culture.
The festival seeks to strengthen cultural ties between Qatar and European nations, offering a unique musical experience for attendees, who will be treated to a variety of masterpieces of contemporary and classical European jazz music.
In this context, the first night of the festival will present three performances by the Diego Villegas group from Spain, followed by a performance by the Jin Jim band from Germany, concluding with the Fig Tree by Candlelight show from Austria.
The Katara European Jazz Festival reflects the rich musical diversity of Europe, with each band showcasing its unique style that blends local heritage with modern innovation.
It is worth noting that the Cultural Village Foundation launched the Katara European Jazz Festival in cooperation with the embassies of European countries in the State of Qatar since 2014, where the participating musical bands present a diverse range of European jazz masterpieces.
