15th International Forum for Arab Studies

Beijing, September 13, 2026 : Beijing is hosting the 15th International Forum for Arab Studies, bringing together around 200 representatives from government institutions, universities, research centers, and companies from China and other countries.

The forum is organized by the China-Arab Research Center for Culture and Tourism Cooperation (CACTCRC), in cooperation with Beijing International Studies University (BISU).

The event focuses on strengthening cultural and tourism cooperation between China and Arab countries and coincides with the release of the 2025 Arab-China Culture and Tourism Index, jointly prepared by the School of Tourism Sciences at BISU and CACTCRC.

More than 60 experts and researchers are taking part in the forum’s sessions, which address a range of issues related to China-Arab cooperation in culture and tourism, as well as regional systems and innovation in academic research.

An official from the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation at China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism highlighted the importance of expanding research on the Arab world, promoting mutual understanding, and aligning shared aspirations to further strengthen exchanges between China and Arab countries.

The official also emphasized the role of cultural and tourism cooperation in building stronger ties between the two regions, calling for greater knowledge-sharing and increased use of tourism as a means of connecting people, particularly younger generations.

The forum continues to serve as a platform for intellectual dialogue, academic exchange, and greater understanding between China and the Arab world.
