“Diwan Al- Arab” is sorting out the participating works in “Nazra”
For his part, His Excellency Mr. John Ho Lee, Ambassador of Korea to the State, indicated that the winner of the first place in the competition would receive a financial prize of 5,000 Qatari rials. He would also be invited and hosted in the State of Qatar during the celebration of the World Poetry Day, scheduled for the 21st of March 2022, in order to be honored among international poets who won the competition. The winners of the competition will be announced on the 25th of this month, and these statements came during a video broadcast by the Qatar Poetry Center in which His Excellency the Ambassador spoke, expressing his happiness with the “Nazra” competition.
The “Nazra” competition raises the slogan (monthly, local, Arab, international). It comes within the framework of the efforts of the “Diwan Al Arab” Center to enrich the poetic scene in the country, and work to sponsor it within its digital platforms, in addition to opening up to the poetic scene in the countries of the world, against the background of the competition’s keenness to address the poets of the world arena.
In addition to poets in various world languages, the competition has already been aimed at the classical poets, including Turkish, English, Indian, French, plus Pakistani, and finally Korean. All the winners of the “Nazra” competition are to be honored during the International Poetry Day, which is celebrated every year by the Qatar Poetry Centre. The competition has a remarkable interaction from the users of the digital platforms on which “Diwan Al Arab Center” is located, as it receives a variety of participations.
