Qatar Participates in 24th SCO Prosecutors General Meeting

Doha, October 01, 2026 : The State of Qatar, represented by the Public Prosecution, participated in the 24th Meeting of Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States, held via videoconference from the Russian Federation.

Qatar’s delegation was led by Public Prosecutor and Head of the Technical Office Mohammed Rashid Al Binali, accompanied by several members of the Public Prosecution.

The meeting addressed a number of issues on its agenda, with discussions focusing on the role of prosecution authorities in regulating and monitoring compliance with legislation aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of minors.

Participants also discussed ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between prosecution authorities, government institutions, educational bodies and other organizations involved in prevention efforts.

The discussions focused on developing coordinated measures to help prevent minors from becoming involved in unlawful activities and strengthen their protection.

The meeting also examined ways to enhance international cooperation among SCO member states in protecting minors, preventing the spread of harmful information and addressing the involvement of minors in unlawful activities.

Participants further discussed efforts to prevent the recruitment or involvement of minors in destructive and extremist movements and other illegal activities.
