Arab League Forum Recognizes Qatar's Pioneering Initiatives

Cairo, September 29, 2026 : Qatar took part in the second Arab Youth Leaders Forum, which opened at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo on Tuesday.

Two-Day Forum Organized with Arab Youth Council

The two-day forum is being organized in cooperation with the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development. Qatar's delegation was headed by HE Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Thani, Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League.

Sheikh Jassim Awarded Pioneers of Joint Arab Action Medal

During the opening session, the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development awarded Sheikh Jassim the Pioneers of Joint Arab Action Medal, recognizing his role in promoting Arab cooperation and communication and supporting initiatives to strengthen solidarity and joint action.

Qatar's Youth Ministry Honored for Fazaa Al Adaam Initiative

The council also honored Qatar's Ministry of Sports and Youth for its Fazaa Al Adaam Youth initiative, a volunteer and humanitarian programme designed to train and prepare Qatari youth for humanitarian, community, and development work, while encouraging a culture of volunteering and social responsibility.

Forum Highlights Role of Young Leaders in Regional Stability

The forum aims to highlight the role of young leaders and civil society organizations in supporting their countries and contributing to security and stability. It will also examine experiences of joint Arab action involving young leaders and civil society, while developing proposals to strengthen cooperation among young Arab leaders.

Discussions to Cover Economic, Social Cooperation

Discussions will address economic, cultural, and social cooperation, as well as the role of young people in addressing challenges facing Arab countries and contributing to regional security.

Forum Draws Participants from 22 Arab Countries

The forum is attended by about 300 youth leaders, public figures, specialists, media professionals, and influencers, along with representatives of civil society organizations, research and cultural centers, development institutions, youth and social affairs ministries, entrepreneurship associations, and universities from 22 Arab countries.
