Zakat Fund Opens 11 New Collection Points
The Zakat Fund Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has opened 11 new collection points.
Head of the Collection and Zakat Accounts at Zakat Fund Jarab Al Ahbabi said that the opening of the new collection points comes within the framework of the Fund's endeavor to spread and be present in most of the cities, villages and regions of the state.
He noted that the new collection points include permanent sites located within the following Al Meera branches - Al Meera Nejaima, Al Meera Leabaib 1, Al Mirah Leabaib 2, Al Meera Bani Hajer, Al Meera Al Wajba, and Al Meera Wakra West). The new collection points also include temporary sites located in Hamad General Hospital, Women's Wellness and Research Center, Specialized Surgery Center, Sidra Mall, and J-Mall.
He added that the new collection points have already started operation from the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, in addition to the 27 offices and sites of the Zakat Fund spread throughout the country, and thus the Zakat Fund has 38 offices and collection points.Â
