Wifaq Family Consulting Centre, one of the centres under the umbrella of the Qatar Social Work Foundation, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Afif Charity, for a set of awareness activities implemented by Wifaq Centre with the aim of contributing to achieving family cohesion in society.
In a statement, after signing the memorandum of understanding, Executive Director of Wifaq Family Consulting Centre Rashid Al Dosari, said that the partnership with Afif Charity will be an important contribution to building secure, stable families and a cohesive society that supports the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030.Â
He pointed out that this partnership will contribute to preparing and rehabilitating young men and women with a high degree of understanding and knowledge of the foundations of a healthy married life.
Under this memorandum, Wifaq centre and Afif Charity will be partners in providing a set of awareness activities, which will shed light on societal awareness topics such as encouraging young people to marry, and reducing the negative effects of divorce on divorced people and children.
In this regard, Afif Charity will sponsor another set of awareness-raising programs and activities offered by Wifaq Family Consulting Centre for the divorced and separated persons and their children to contribute to improving the level of psychological and social adjustment of separated couples and children benefiting from the center’s services, enabling them to adapt to the family and the community.
For her part, the Acting CEO of Afif Charity Zalikha Al Asmakh, stressed that the foundation’s keenness to seek qualitative partnerships related to the family, will lead to achieving the general goals of Qatar’s vision and specifically in the pillar of social development.
