Vehicles to be able to access Mina District road from 15 June to 15 October 2026

In a bid to keep its visitors comfortable and entertained, Old Doha Port has announced an integrated summer program. Spanning from June 15, 2026 to October 15, the program provides streamlined access to Australia's major attractions, preferential parking options and a full schedule of sporting/ marine activities.

The city announced that it would permit vehicles to enter roads in the Mina District so that visitors can park close (or, in some cases, on) restaurants, cafés and shops during summer heat. The access is going to be during the period from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. every day, and it reduces a walk distance and improves accessibility across other destinations.

Sports, Fitness, and Waterfront Attractions for Visitors

Old Doha Port is providing free golf carts around Mina Park and the Mina District to ease movement within its expansive indoor and outdoor space. In summer heat, it makes it more convenient for people to travel between the major attractions without having to walk a long distance in the summer temperatures.

And the destination is also running a full summer events programme featuring a weekly running event every Tuesday and fitness sessions inside the Terminal building. For inclusive visitors, when it comes to wellness, women-only fitness sessions will also be provided at the City Gallery and around the aquarium site.
