Annual Vehicle Registration Renewal
Vehicle registrations in Qatar must be renewed annually. The renewal process:
- Book a vehicle inspection appointment through Metrash2 or visit an approved inspection centre
- Pass the inspection — covers tyres, lights, brakes, emissions, and general roadworthiness
- Confirm your vehicle insurance is current — the system checks this automatically
- Pay the renewal fee through Metrash2 or at the traffic department counter
- New Mulkiya is issued digitally and a physical copy is mailed or available for collection
Documents Required
- Original Mulkiya (current registration card)
- Valid QID of the vehicle owner
- Valid car insurance certificate — must be current at time of renewal
- Vehicle inspection certificate
- Payment for fees
