U.S. Embassy in Doha confirms suspension of routine consular services
The U.S. Embassy in Doha has announced that routine consular services, including visa processing, remain suspended until further notice. Officials confirmed that only limited emergency assistance is currently available for American citizens.
The embassy stated that urgent services such as passport issuance and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) will continue to be provided. U.S. nationals requiring support are advised to contact the embassy directly via ACSDoha@state.gov.
In its advisory, the embassy emphasized the importance of following its official social media channels for timely updates, noting that information will be shared as circumstances evolve.
The announcement underscores the embassy’s focus on prioritizing emergency needs while broader consular operations remain on hold.
