Training Course on Safety and Security of Sports Fans for FIFA World Cup events in Qatar
Within the framework of the preparations for the Safety and Security Operations Committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, to secure the FIFA Club World Cup, the Training and Development Unit is organizing a training course under the title of the security and safety of the sports fans.
The training course held on 24-28 January 2021 at the Police College and the Police Training Institute, targets 250 male and female safety guides from the Qatar Red Crescent.
The training course aims to raise the capabilities of safety guides and provide them with guidelines by experts in the field of security and safety of the fans. The course will enable trainees to participate efficiently and competently, in securing the World Club Championship hosted by the State of Qatar coming February.
The training course includes theoretical and training sessions under the supervision of trainers from the various units of the SSOC. The theoretical sessions include lectures on security sense, duties and responsibilities of security and safety personnel and crowd management. The practical part includes actual training on a World Cup facility, to put the trainees in the practical environment.
At the end of the course, trainees will obtain international certificates in security and safety of the fans.
