Now people in Qatar can recharge Doha metro travel card through Qatar Rail App.

Qatar Rail App recently updated the app with the new features like recharge and transaction history. 

Update the app  for these latest additions to be available on your cellphone.

The app allows for recharge of travel cards, using a credit card now.

After sign in the users, can go to TopUp section & insert the Travel card number, and select the top up amount - QR10, QR50 or QR100. 

After that select the payment option - as of now credit card option only available.

Also this app allows for transaction history.

For Doha Metro three different types of travel cards available:

1) Limited Use Travel Cards, 

2) Standard Travel Card,

3) Gold Travel Cards.

A Day Pass price is QR 6 with unlimited journeys for one day and  standard class one journey price is QR 2.  When using travel credit you have to pay QR6 a day  matter how many  journeys you make. Fares for Adult and child are the same. Journey  in the gold club is much expensive. Goldclub  Cost for  single journey is  QR 6 and pass cost is  QR 30.

Limited Use Travel Card - A non-reusable, paper travel card that contains either a single voyage or day pass. The expense of this travel card relies upon the type of product you are buying (a single journey or a day pass) and the class of travel you need to go in (standard class ( including family) or gold club). Limited Use Travel Cards can be bought from self- service Travel Card Vending Machines (TVMs) at all Doha Metro stations.
