A small island near Al Khor famous for its mangroves and the ancient ruins of a purple dye factory used in Roman times. Accessible by a short boat ride or low-tide walk.
Best time to visit: October to April, when temperatures are pleasant (20–30°C). Summer months can exceed 45°C, making outdoor exploration difficult.
