The Qatari beach volleyball team qualified for the semi-finals today, after beating Italy by two clean sets at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Qatari duo, Ahmed Tejan and Sherif Younis, won the first half with a score of 21-17 and the second half with 23-21 to set up a date with the duo of the Russian Olympic Committee in the semi-finals.
The Russian Olympic Committee reached the semi-finals by defeating Germany 21-16, 21-19.
On the other hand, the Latvian team, which defeated Brazil, will face the Norwegian team, which in turn eliminated the other duo belonging to the Russian Olympic Committee.
The Qatari team entered with great ambitions in order to win and get closer to the dream of achieving an Olympic medal.
