Qatar Open Padel Championship
The competitions of the third edition of the Qatar Open Padel Championship, organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, concluded on the courts of the Khalifa International Complex for a week, with the participation of about 150 players.
The duo of Javier Navarro and Nacho Oteo won first place in the men's category (A), while the brothers Rashid and Meshari Nawaf came in second place.
Tariq Zainal, who serves as Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, said in a statement on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the tournament, that this tournament represents an important step in the development of Padel sport in Qatar, and that it comes within the framework of the Qatar Federation's vision to enhance the status of Padel sport locally and internationally.
He congratulated the winners on their wonderful performance and success in providing a high level of competition, stressing the Federation's continuation in organizing such tournaments in support of Qatari players, and contributing to the development of the game and enhancing its spread within Qatar.
