Doha, August 28 (QNA) - The Ministry of Justice's Legal and Judicial Studies Center (LJSC) organized three specialized legal courses and workshops for affiliates of ministries and government agencies.
The courses dealt with various topics, including jurisdiction and voting mechanisms of the Shura Council, the legal provisions regulating expert work in Qatari law, and the provisions of trading and legal supervision of the stock market.
The participants were educated on the general provisions of the Shura Council and its legislative authority in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, and the criminal acts and their punishment according to the law.
They were briefed on the duties and prohibitions of the Shura Council members, the inadmissibility of combining Shura Council membership with holding public offices, and the right of Shura Council members to raise issues that fall within the competence of the Shura Council for discussion.
The specialized course for experts reviewed the development of experts' skills and provided them with the legal knowledge and skills necessary to implement the provisions that regulate the work of experts in Qatari Law No. 16 of 2017 regulating expert work, Civil and Commercial Procedure Law No. 13 of 199, Judicial Authority Law No. 10 of 2003, and the Procedures Law. Criminal No. 23 of 2004.
The third session discussed the provisions of trading and legal supervision of the stock market (stock exchange) with the aim of providing participants with legal and practical information and skills in the field of the stock market, its organization, methods of work and legal oversight over it.
It introduced the services and activities determined by the regulations of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) and the crimes and violations of the provisions of the law.
The special workshop to raise awareness of the dangers of internet addiction was presented by the Head of the LJSC's Legal Awareness Department Zainab Al Yafei.
The workshop, which targeted Al Wakra Girls Center affiliates, explained the concept, types, causes, symptoms and effects of internet addiction, and the ensuing cybercrimes.
Director of LJSC Dr. Saleh Ali Al Fadala stressed the importance of these legal courses, which come within the framework of the Legal and Judicial Training Program 2023, which aims to enrich the legal skills and expertise of the participants in the specialized legal training courses, and develop their legal capabilities and perceptions for the benefit of various government agencies.
He explained that these specialized programs come within the framework of modernizing and developing the legal training system provided by the Center as part of its keenness to employ these programs to serve the Qatari legal system and enhance its performance in implementation of the directives of HE Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri and in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 to upgrade the country's human resources system in the legal field.
