The Museum of Islamic Art is set to host a poetry night in solidarity with Palestine
The Museum of Islamic Art is hosting its annual poetry night this Wednesday, focusing on learning about and embracing Palestine's history as a gesture of solidarity with Gaza's people.
Salem Abdullah Al Aswad, Deputy Director of Learning & Outreach at MIA, expressed, "Our annual poetry night at the Museum of Islamic Art is a vital program that spotlights different themes each year. Given the current regional situation, especially in Palestine, we've chosen Palestine as this year's theme. This unique event will encompass classical Arabic and Nabataean poetry, demonstrating our solidarity with Gaza."
MIA's Poetry Night: Palestine, the Land Story, will showcase poets like Mohammed Ibrahim Alsada, Abdulhamid Alyosuf, Mohammed Yaseen Saleh, Essa Alsheikh Hassan, and Mohammad Saeed Lazeuh. Notable participants include Jassim Al Hammadi, an influencer, and Qatar Music Academy.
