Team of the Year in Asia includes players from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE | Football
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics announced the line-up of the best team in the Asian continent for 2021, with 3 Arab players in the starting lineup and two as reserves.
The list, which was published by the International Federation on its website, on Sunday, included the presence of Qatari defender Abdul Karim Hassan, Saudi defender Yasser Al-Shahrani, in addition to Emirati striker Ali Mabkhout in the ideal squad for the 11 best players in Asia.
The list also included two players from the English Premier League, South Korean striker Heung-Min Son, who plays with Tottenham Hotspur, and Japanese defender Takeru Tomiyasu, who plays for Arsenal.
The bench list witnessed the presence of Qatari star Akram Afif, and Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais.
The International Statistics Federation chose Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim as the coach of the ideal squad for the 2021 Asian team, as he led the Saudi club Al Hilal to win the AFC Champions League title.
