Reem Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Society Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology
One of the Smart Qatar (TASMU) Program’s flagship initiatives, TASMU Digital Valley (TDV), which sits under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, launched the TDV accelerator Proof-of-Concept (POC) program for the ecosystem of emerging digital companies and help them uncover gaps and address challenges to enhance their growth path.
The Program, by working with two Qatari start-ups, focused on accelerating the growth of these companies through workshops and trainings, while working on identifying and addressing gaps in the country’s start-up ecosystem. The POC program was designed to establish and test various hypotheses around the need for acceleration in Qatar while leveraging lessons learned from successful global acceleration programs.
POC version of the Tasmu accelerator program was launched, after an analytical study conducted by the Tasmu Digital Valley under the title “Voice of the Start-up” and aimed at measuring the degree of satisfaction of start-ups with the current level of support they receive within the digital ecosystem.
