Sharjah Ruler Approves 470 AQU Scholarships for 2026–2027

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved 470 scholarships for students from around the world to enrol at Al Qasimia University (AQU) during the 2026–2027 academic year. The decision continues the Ruler's long-standing support for the university he founded, and underlines Sharjah's ambition to serve as a regional centre of learning and culture.

Open to students worldwide

The scholarships are available to students admitted across AQU's five undergraduate colleges: the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Economics and Management, the College of Communication, and the College of the Holy Quran. Together they offer a programme of study that blends Islamic scholarship with modern academic disciplines.

According to the university, the initiative allows recipients to study in an integrated academic environment — one that pairs quality education with Islamic values and an openness to other cultures. It is designed not only to ease the financial path to higher education, but to bring together young people from a wide range of backgrounds under a shared commitment to learning.
