Moscow/Kyiv, September 15, 2026 : Russia and Ukraine said Tuesday that their air defense forces intercepted hundreds of drones overnight, as the conflict between the two countries continues.
The Russian Ministry of Defence said its air defense units shot down 222 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the night.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that its forces intercepted 187 of 200 Russian drones launched toward Ukraine.
Both countries have continued to report almost daily on drone attacks, air defense operations, and developments on the battlefield since the conflict began on February 24, 2022.
Given the ongoing hostilities and the absence of independent access to many affected areas, the claims made by either side cannot be independently verified.
