Acting Secretary-General of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) Faisal Mohammed Al Emadi said that the voluntary sosietal initiative for Palestine, which was recently launched in cooperation with a number of institutions and commercial complexes, was successful.
In remarks today, Al Emadi said that the initiative, which concluded today, aimed to enhance community awareness of the inhumane conditions that the Gaza Strip is experiencing in light of the siege and aggression to which it is currently being subjected, in addition to mobilizing support for several projects that provide the people of Gaza with their urgent needs of food, medicine, medical equipment and supplies, ambulances and other life saving supplies.
He praised the efforts of the participating institutions in making the initiative a success, noting that the institutional and popular would enable QRCS to continue its relief efforts to mitigate the effects of the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip.
