Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has signed a cooperation agreement with Tomoh for Community Development, to announce the latter as a community sponsor supporting the Vaccine Equity campaign through promotion on digital platforms.
The agreement was signed by HE Secretary-General of QRCS Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi and Director-General of Tomoh for Community Development Eng. Nasser Abdul-Aziz Al Mogaiseeb.
Under the agreement, cyberspace and social media networks will be utilized to launch community events and programs and produce media and informative materials that promote the Vaccine Equity campaign.
Co-implemented by QRCS and the World Health Organization (WHO) Foundation, it seeks to provide COVID-19 vaccines for 3.65 million refugees, displaced people, and migrants in 20 countries.
Al Hammadi stated, "we are proud to work together with different local organizations towards the success of a global humanitarian campaign that will save millions of lives and help to get things back to normal. Inspired by our social responsibility towards the vulnerable, as part of a country that is a beacon of charitable work and the values of solidarity and giving, we welcome everyone who is willing to join our Vaccine Equity campaign."

"We hope that this partnership will help to further mobilize support for the campaign, having a special influence on the humanitarian and charitable field."
Eng. Al Mogaiseeb emphasized the importance of QRCSs Vaccine Equity campaign, with its humanitarian and sustainable development dimensions. "Signing this memorandum of understanding (MoU) with QRCS matches our goals of enhancing awareness in the fields of community development and social empowerment."
He added, "undoubtedly, bilateral partnerships with established humanitarian aid providers like QRCS is a contribution to social work. We join hands with QRCS to promote the campaign, by designing and producing diverse innovative and interactive community programs that raise public awareness about COVID-19 vaccination and serving the governments endeavor of reaching out to as many people as possible. Moreover, it has a significant humanitarian aspect of encouraging the public to donate the cost of vaccination for refugees and displaced people." (QNA)
