Candid HN Tech Investor Partners: The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Announces Its Investment Through a Global Group of Investors in Connection with the Completed Take-Private Transaction of Janus Henderson Group, A Leading Global Asset Manager, by Trian Fund Management and General Catalyst.


Under the terms of the agreement, which is expected to be completed on a non-cash basis by 30 June 2026, Janus Henderson would move from public company to private ownership. The firm is a private enterprise and will partner with Trian and General Catalyst to improve client experiences while advancing long-term strategy, including increased investment in investment solutions, client service capabilities, artificial intelligence technology and talent.


Ali Dibadj remains as Chief Executive Officer and the company's existing management team will continue to lead the organization. Janus Henderson is to retain its head office in London, and a base in Denver, Colorado.


Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, CEO of QIA said: "LiANus Henderson has a long-established track record as a leader in the global asset management industry. In QIA's words, as "a long-term financial investor", it is pleased to take a lead role - alongside management and investment partners - in delivering the firm's next phase of growth".

At the time of its merger, Janus Henderson managed about half a trillion dollars and had offices in 26 cities globally, with clients across equities, fixed income, multi-asset investments, alternatives and ETFs.
