QFZ Highlights Vital Role of Electric Vehicles in Logistics Services

Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZs) participated in the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum (AEMOB), that took place from Apr. 30 to May 2, 2024 in Doha and Hosted by the Ministry of Transport.

A statement from the authority said that the forum is in line with the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the third National Development Strategy (2024-2030), which prioritize increased investment in public transport projects and sustainable infrastructure, hosting this forum supported the development of an integrated multi-modal transport system offering reliable, safe, and environmentally friendly services.

Commenting on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Free Zones Authority Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani said "We are glad for QFZs participation in the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum, where we showcased our cutting-edge developments in logistics automation. QFZ is well-known for its role in economic diversification in Qatar in line with pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030, and has been a central driver in the development of state-of-the-art facilities and regulatory frameworks that support the seamless integration of advanced mobility into the logistics sector. As part of QFZs participation in the Forum, Senior Analyst of Investor Relations Bader Al Saai represented QFZ as a panelist. Al Saai engaged in a discussion about the challenges of the integration of driverless transportation and electric vehicles into logistics systems and reflecting on QFZ's role in shaping the future of advanced mobility and autonomous logistics, in Qatar and the region.
