The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced that it will raise the interest rate by 25 basis points. It said the decision to raise the interest rate will come into effect from Thursday.
According to the bank’s official account on Twitter, it was decided to raise deposit and lending rates as follows: Increasing the deposit interest rate by 25 basis points to 5.75 percent, raisinghe lending interest rate by 25 basis points to 6.25 percent, and increasing the repo rate by 25 basis points to 6 percent.
