The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced today, October 11, 2022, the work structure for all financial institutions in the country during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In a tweet, QCB said:

On the occasion of the country’s organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and in the interest of the Qatar Central Bank to continue work in financial institutions operating in the country during the tournament period, it was decided to organize work according to the following:

1. Branches of financial institutions whose headquarters are on Grand Hamad Street, or in the vicinity of Doha Corniche, shall have 20% of employees attend the workplace, while 80% of employees work remotely. The working hours shall be according to the working hours currently in force.

2. Branches of financial institutions whose headquarters are not located in the areas indicated above in accordance with Clause No. (1), work in them shall continue in accordance with the current work system. 

The circular is effective from November 1, 2022 until December 19, 2022.
