Have been sent to various venues across North America.
Participants are utilizing their knowledge throughout numerous functional areas in the programme — from operations and workforce readiness to fan engagement and innovation, leveraging experiences gained from FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which has been referred to as one of the best editions yet.
Qatar is ‘one of the most amazing countries because they know how to organize a football tournament like nobody else, — Gianni Infantino.
There is also work for other teams from the SC and its main stakeholders who are participating in an observation programme at the tournament to gain insight into how to host successful border mega-events, assess their impact, and develop effective strategies to capitalise on associated skills.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, said:
“The dedication, talent and enthusiasm this team has brought to this project is mind blowing. We have seen the capabilities Qatar has built over many years to host major events, right through from venues and hotels to airport transportation and human capacity.
He added that Qatar delivered:
-
The FIFA World Cup of 2022 was a superb event
-
Several notable events since then
-
FIFA U 17 World Cup hosted for the first time with 48 teams
-
A successful FIFA Arab Cup
“Football brings the world together and helps to deliver an amazing experience for millions of fans globally. "This is possible due to the fantastic work done by amazing talents,” remarked Infantino.
The first FIFA World Cup on Middle Eastern soil, Qatar 2022 broke new ground with best-in-class innovation, operations and experience while delivering a legacy of infrastructure, sustainability and human capital.
In addition to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Qatar has hosted several major sporting events such as the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
In 2025, Qatar hosted finals of three FIFA competitions within a span of three weeks. This included:
-
The 48-team FIFA U-17 World Cup
-
The FIFA Intercontinental Cup
-
The FIFA Arab Cup
Less than a year-and-a-half after the final, Qatar will once again open its doors to the world as it stages perhaps an even more attractive event, when it hosts the second of five consecutive FIFA U-17 World Cup competitions from 19 November — 13 December 2026.
