Qatar's Saeed Al Sulaiti won the sixth round of the Inter-regional Speed Championship (CIV) Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, on Sunday.
This is the first time that a Qatari rider has won this championship.
Al Sulaiti competed in the open 600-R6 class and in the first line of the grid after recording the second-fastest time in qualifying session.
Spanish rider Angel Heredia Martinez, who booked the first spot in the grid after clocking a lap time of 1 minute 45.301 secs, half a second ahead of Al Sulaiti in the final qualifying round, finished behind the Qatari Al Sulaiti, who clocked the fastest lap time in the first practice run, came third in the previous round of the competition which is a part of the 36th Andalusian Speed Championship.
Qatari biker Saeed Al Sulaiti finished first at CIV Championship in Spain's Jerez circuit while Yousef Al Darwish came fifth.
Al Sulaiti praised the Spanish CIV Championship for Motorcycles and thanked the Qatar Motors and Motorcycle Federation, (QMMF), and the technicians for the support.
